Another approach is to work toward a common understanding of what you know now about your students, what you need to know now to move forward in planning. How can questions about who our student population is now and what it will be in the future shape our planning?

Exploring resources such as National Reports can spark new ways of imagining visions of what learners are to come, to be. An example of this is the seminal report, The Engineer of 2020, in which are clear expectations of what we want our learners to become and be able to do upon graduation.
