The Planning Process

The work of the PKAL LSC builds on best practices from PKAL facilities planning efforts since 1992. The central thrust of those best practices is getting the planning right, beginning with clear goals and strategies for the process of planning. These practices also reflect research on planning for organizational change. We introduce the PKAL Planning Process with this essay.

  • Work-in-Progress: LSC Assessment Rubrics
    As a first step in developing the LSC protocols, we are drafting an assessment rubric for STEM learning spaces, anticipating its use by the Council on Undergraduate Research (CUR) for their June Conference. (Posted April 2012)
