Transforming Undergraduate STEM Education: Implications for 21st Century Society
Connecting the Dots: Change Initiatives Focusing on How, What, When & Where Learning Happens

Campus-wide reform initiatives are mostly iterative and cyclical, particularly those focusing on student success, faculty careers, programs and pedagogies, community outreach. Those focusing on facilities projects are more linear, time-constrained. Using a template drafted by the Learning Spaces Collaboratory, we will explore how planning physical environments for learning can influence and is influenced by the broader institutional context and culture, how connecting the dots can realize more creative, sustainable transformation of the undergraduate STEM learning environment.
